This fun, practical 8 week course will teach you how to upcycle and transform discarded textiles, saved fabric scraps, and old clothing into new usable fabric which will help you save money, be kind to the planet, and give you the opportunity to get creative. The course will also include a session on natural dyeing using food waste and a session on textile repair skills.  At the end of the course either stitch your samples together to create a wall hanging to celebrate all the new skills you have learned or use the fabric you have created to make a small item of your choice. Templates will be provided.

A selection of materials are included but do bring in any old textiles you have that you would like to transform.

Suitable for all levels of experience.

Returning students will be able to extend their skills and work on a pre-agreed independent project or join in with set sessions to explore techniques further.

Sewing machines are provided.
