The West End Centre has been the creative heart of Aldershot for more than 45 years. This converted Victorian school, which has played host to Primal Scream and Blur, continues to host world-class touring bands whilst developing the grass-roots local music scene and supporting upcoming talent.

Some of the biggest names in comedy perform at the West End Centre and we’re justifiably proud of our comedy club too. Hecklers is the last independent comedy club in the area, a real hothouse for the talent of the future and a place big talent comes to test new material.

We bring some of the most exciting fringe theatre to Aldershot and the creation of our second ‘Gallery Live’ stage has helped us provide a much-needed local platform for the performance of spoken word and classical music too. This space is also a gallery – so we always have some great art on show – plus our annual ‘open exhibition’ is a place where artists we’ve nurtured in our classes and workshops can display their work.

Visit during the day and you’ll find our building full of people who are learning something new – whether that’s stained glass, pottery or computing skills; the classes and workshops continue into the evening – ensuring that as many people as possible make the best use of our facilities.

We’re a small and friendly team so please say hello when you’re next in the centre or get in touch using the contact details on this page, and let us know any feedback you have and thoughts and ideas for our future programme.
