After a very successful first session in Spring, we are back with Singing and Menopause!

Catherine Pestano is a community musician and voice worker, long time member of the Natural Voice network and a collaborator with The Song Therapy programme.

With specialist skills in singing for well-being alongside her own menopause lived experience and activism she is delighted to bring you a nurturing gentle and uplifting simple harmony singing session. All voices are welcome and we will also reflect on ways to nourish yourselves with music during the menopause transition.

Join us, meet other like minded women around your age, enjoy a very special activity as you also open to new connections. You are not on your own through this, we are here to share.

In collaboration with our local Menopause Support Group

Farnborough & Aldershot Menopause Support is a newly formed group that provides support for women who are perimenopausal or are going through the menopause. We also warmly welcome women who have been through the menopause – as they have valuable experience to share! We have monthly meet-ups for tea, coffee and conversation at cafes across Rushmoor, as well as walks and events like mindfulness sessions. There is no set agenda for the meetings, we are a group of women who meet and share knowledge and our experiences to give each other support and information. The meetings and events happen at various times of the day and days of the week, so we can be accessible to as many women as possible.

We run regular mindfulness sessions at the West End Centre and our next session is on Friday 9 June from 6.30 – 8pm, followed by some relaxed discussion and drinks in the bar! Please contact jules.crossley@rushmoor.gov.uk for further information or to book a place.
