This is a celebration of all things Kick Arts UK, a thank you for all the love and support we've been given since Barney and Lorna left the Westy in 2019. We've worked on a ton of projects over those four years, and none are closer to our hearts than these three incredible artists so we are delighted to share them with you.

void_null

Some of you will know void_null from the recent #TestChamber project at the Farnborough wind tunnel or their previous shows at West End Centre. Their shows are absolutely stunning - combining scientific themes with emotional resonance - which leave you reeling.

COLLAPSE is an immersive LiveAV performance from void_null. It’s a response to one of the darkest mysteries in our known universe - the Black Hole. The 45 minute show alludes to some of the more bizarre known facts about the nature of these gargantuan creatures, whose very existence lead to unsettling and fundamental questions about the nature of reality.

Dominie Hooper

Barney bumped into Dominie Hooper at English Folk Expo and an instant friendship was formed. Then over time we ended up in cahoots! London based, Dartmoor born, Dominie is a major new force in indie alt-folk with rave reviews and airplay across BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Scotland and more. This Is The Kit's Kate Stables has produced her recent singles, and she has worked with Tom Odell, Yola, Rioghnach Connolly and more, but seeing her live is where she shines most brightly. Simmering memory and unspoken truth righteously seethe in songs with tenderness, anger and startling leaps of joy and optimism.

The Exact Opposite

The Exact Opposite are friends from way back. Remember Dustball? Who morphed into Dive Dive? Some of them ended up in Frank Turner's band - playing the Olympic Games, Wembley Arena etc? Well, Jamie has carried on writing brilliant songs, Nigel returned from globetrotting with Frank, and the result is The Exact Opposite. And they're bloody great!

Two men crouched down

We've survived a pandemic and a huge amount of emotional upheaval. This Christmas gathering means a lot, and we hope it will to you too. It's not a knees up (in fact it is almost the opposite of a knees up!) but it will be so good to share great music together in a lovely venue with lovely people. If you are struggling to afford the ticket price just get in touch with barney@kickartsuk.com and we'll help if we can. We don't want anyone excluded from this if we can help it.
