A relaxed, friendly class to help you speak more confidently, improve your pronunciation and listening skills and develop your vocabulary and grammar, using material from real life situations. Some students attend to prepare for exams, for fun (so that they are more able and confident in helping their children or grandchildren with their homework), or to generally help them feel more part of their community.

The group is welcoming and friendly and has a real sense of warmth, which really helps with learning as well as improving self-esteem and well-being.

This course is suitable for intermediate level of English.

Tutor: Nicola Rooney

Holding a Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL), Nicky has been teaching the English for Foreign Learners course since it began three years ago and it has grown from strength to strength. We have a multinational group of students from countries such as Italy, Argentina, Columbia, France, Poland, Estonia, Romania, Russia, Nepal, China... and more!

Nicky designs the classes around the needs and interests of the student group and uses modern teaching methodology to teach English in context, keeping the lessons interesting and engaging. Quizzes and games are used along with listening exercises, extracts from text books, newspapers, magazines, even recipe books!
