The Silver Lines began astwo pairs ofmusicians who came together after going through personal hardships. Brothers Dan and Joe were trying to form a band during their time atManchester University, writing songs and recording demos. Their uncle, who was a former musician and therefore served as a greatinfluence andmentorto them, sadly passed away during thistime. He leftthemwith a guitar and a few amps, which Joe still playslive to this day. As university was drawing to a close forthemin 2019, they decided to self-release the two songs they had recorded up to that point– uncertain of any musical future.
“Parliament” ,the second recorded track, was promptly aired on the BBC Radio 1 Introducing show.
The combination ofthis accomplishment and the passing oftheir uncle gave Dan and Joe the impetusto forma serious band when theymoved back to their hometown of Birmingham. They thenmet Kindo, who had been in bandsin his teenage years before having to stop due to falling ill with stage 3 Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. When theymet Kindo, he had justmade a fullrecovery and wasraring to go with a new lease of life. Kindo then enlisted Joe C, hislifelong friend who had been at his bedside during chemotherapy,to round outthe lineup. The Silver Lines were officially formed.
