Through this two hour course you will be getting to grips with the basics of how to use a sewing machine, from threading the machine and setting the tension, winding a bobbin and sewing some basic stitches, including how to use a free motion embroidery foot and creating a simple applique design.
After sewing a few basic samples, you will then be taken through how to make a simple zippered pencil case step-by-step for you to take home.
For ages 11-16 years and all experience levels are welcome in this fun practical course.
What you need: We ask that all class and workshop participants over the age of 11 wear face coverings. Please feel free to bring your own sewing machine or request one of our own machines here at the centre upon booking.
