Singer/Songwriter Lucy Farrell crafts mesmerising songs on the human condition with simple accompaniment on tenor guitar and viola.

 

From Kent in southeast England, Lucy grew up going to folk festivals and studied Folk and Traditional music at Newcastle University. Since graduating in 2008 she has recorded and performed with numerous bands including the Emily Portman trio, Eliza Carthy and the Wayward band and Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell. Her band The Furrow Collective, won Best Band at the Radio 2 folk awards in 2017. Over the last few years, she has been writing songs for her debut album, which will be released early next year on the independent label Hudson Records.
