Japanese Calligraphy (16+)

Learn the basics of Japanese calligraphy including an introduction to its writing system.  With an explanation of all equipment, learn how to move the brush and importantly how to adopt the meditative mindset of a calligrapher.  You will learn how to write your name in Japanese, too.  You might need an apron, as the ink will be permanent on clothes.

Sachiko is Japanese and has a passion for Japanese arts and crafts, such as Shodo (Calligraphy) and Origami (paper folding). She has exhibited her Japanese artwork in several exhibitions. She also tries to introduce some Japanese language and culture into the workshops.
