2022 marks the 25th anniversary of the first-ever Hecklers Comedy Club at the Westy – and what a comedic season it's set to be!

Join us for a night of laughs with a fantastic comedy line-up, including:

Nick Wilty

Nick Wilty

You only have to look at Nick Wilty to know that he’s got something to say, and fortunately his comedy is as sharp as he looks.

Nick is affectionately known as the “Globetrotting Comedian” for good reason. He has performed on every continent except Antarctica (although he once did a show in Tierra Del Fuego!) and has played at all major festivals including: Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, Montreal (Just For Laughs), Vancouver, Edmonton, San Francisco, New York, Amsterdam, Cape Town and Hong Kong.

"Just three adjectives to describe Wilty – brilliant, brilliant and brilliant."

Chris Chopping

Chris Chopping

Bedfordshire-born Chris Chopping began his stand-up career in Wales and quickly racked up a brace of new act competition wins. Since then, his dry outlook and hilarious punchlines have established him as a fixture of professional comedy nights across Wales and beyond. He’s also taken seven shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where his strong material and deadpan persona have garnered him a cult following.

As seen on BBC One and as a regular contributor to BBC online content SESH, Chris has recently released a one-hour special on UK comedy streaming service, Next Up… and has even turned his hand to stand-up in a foreign tongue, making his Welsh language TV debut for S4C’s stand-up showcase, Gwerthu Allan.

As a writer, Chris’ work has garnered over 5 million views to date, having written opinion pieces, music and pro-wrestling journalism and topical news response articles for WhatCulture, Golwg360 (welsh language) and Do Not Read.

Hosted by: Michael Legge

Michael Legge

The long overdue return of our most notorious compère Michael Legge marks a landmark gig as we emerge from the pandemic. He has performed stand-up comedy at all major comedy clubs in the UK as well as Australia, New Zealand, USA, France, Holland, UAE, Germany, Estonia and even Russia.

A go-to choice as the support act for many great comedians on tour including Alexei Sayle, Stewart Lee and Dylan Moran, Michael is regular team captain on the highly successful podcast Do The Right Thing and regularly performs the very grumpy show Pointless Anger, Righteous Ire with Robin Ince.

Michael is currently working on his Radio 4 show The Last Days of Michael Legge and his sixth furious solo show The Idiot.
