Three actors cooped up together during lockdown. Fuelled by cabin fever and with a bookshelf full of Shakespeare, they did what they do best and created an unhinged and bonkers, laugh-out-loud version of Romeo & Juliet.
With music, mayhem and more costume changes than you can shake a spear at, expect the HandleBards’ usual irreverent, charming and hilarious style to come bursting onto the stage at Wellesley Woodlands.
Forget the tears and tragedy, pack a picnic and get ready for some socially-distanced, live and wired Shakespeare as you’ve never seen it before.
This is an outdoor production, taking place in Wellesley Woodlands, so please feel free to bring your own chairs, blankets and cushions, and dress for the weather! The show running time is 90 minutes (without an interval). Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.
How it will work
We’ll be seating households and social bubbles at a social distance for the performance, in line with government regulations. Please make sure that booking is for your household/social bubble only. This will give us an idea of how many groups/picnics there will be on the day. If you want to book for someone else who isn’t in your household or social bubble that’s fine - just book for your household and then book their tickets as a new transaction.
