Press to Meco + Patrons & El Moono as part of Independent Venue Week
'Press to MECO' are guitarist/vocalist Luke Caley, bassist/vocalist Adam Roffey and drummer/vocalist Lewis Williams. Their debut album ‘Good Intent’ was shortlisted for the 2016 AIM Independent Album of the Year, alongside Radiohead, Frank Carter and Skepta. This nomination gave the band a sense of legitimacy and renewed belief, that propelled them into writing album no.2.
2017 was a pivotal year for Press to MECO, building on their unconventional take on riffs, pop hooks and 3-part vocal harmonies that have become a trade mark. Their second album'Here's To The Fatigue' , which was released in the Spring of 2018 still draws influence from bands like ‘The Dillinger Escape Plan’, ‘Reuben’ and ‘Manchester Orchestra’ - but they cite ther live shows as their biggest inspiration feeding off audiences who are now singing their songs right back at them. Performances at The Great Escape, 2000Trees and Download Festival. Recorded in Austin with producer 'Machine' the new songs have a lot of existential angst, peppered with moments of clarity - where the songs are saying 'just let go, lift your legs and float down the stream'.
