Come and party like it’s 1996!

Bennet are pretty much the patron saints of Reading’s long lost music scene, and played the West End Centre many times back in the 90s. A 90s Brit-Pop / art rock band who had a top 40 hit with their single “Mum’s Gone To Iceland” for which they are probably best known.

They spent the decade touring their two albums “Super Natural” and “Street vs Science” released for Roadrunner records then split up in 1998

Now reformed for a series of recent sell out gigs they are bringing their sharp songwriting, and three minute acerbic pop anthems back to the West End Centre.

Think the best gags of Yard Art and sing-along choruses of Blur, and expect a love in of indie hits and self-deprecating put downs.

Midget from Stamford, Lincolnshire, England, formed in 1996. The trio released a mini-album "Alco-pop" and albums “Jukebox”, “Individual Inconsistent” and “The Milgram Experiment”

Two of their singles made the UK Singles Chart in 1998 ("All Fall Down" reached No. 57 and "Invisible Balloon" No. 66). They disbanded in 2001 to work on individual projects, but reformed in 2006. On 18 September 2006, Midget played their first London gig in nearly six years at the Social and join Bennet here for a rare appearance
