Design and make your own silver jewellery item to wear home or give as a gift. We will start with some supplied templates (simple pendants, bangles or rings) but you can then adapt and personalise your piece in your own way. You will be introduced to Piercing (sawing) and Soldering, the two must-haves for the creation of jewellery. The Tutor will help you build on the skills you learn over the day covering shaping, filing, texturing and finishing your pieces to a lovely polished shine.  A set amount of Silver is supplied with the cost of the course.

This is a wonderful introduction to jewellery making. It is a wonderful feeling to say I made this!

What you need: There will be a 30-minute break for lunch so please bring some food with you.

Tutor: Alex Twin

Alex worked for Links of London for many years as their engraver but now loves working from her own bench in her shed! (It's a very nice shed). She likes nothing more than making jewellery from scratch and wants to spread the joy of just how satisfying hitting metal with hammers and soldering with gas torches can be - the possibilities are endless!

Tickets: £65 / £58.50 concessions

Session(s): Saturday 15 October, 10.30am-3pm
