Ditch the plastic and make your own environmentally friendly cloth shopping bag. The session provides the opportunity to pick up sewing machine skills if you are new to sewing and also extend you skills by trying the fun technique of appliqué.
This workshop is a good kick start into sewing on a sewing machine and a great way to recycle old fabrics. You will come away with a bag and instructions to make more for yourself and eco conscious friends.
We will have some fabrics available to use but please do bring along your own fabrics to recycle. Great sources are old curtains, sheets and table cloths. Each bag requires approx. 60cm of 1 metre wide fabric. Please bring your sewing machine or advise at booking if you would like to reserve one of ours.
